Before the weather turned cooler and we started up all the normal fall activities the Dad's took the kids out on a summer kayak trip one Saturday morning. I think the "morning" turned into a longer activity than anyone had planned, but it sounded like they had a great time. Jamie and I were away doing Mom things (she was at a bachelorette party and I was on a retreat for the McHenry county leadership program I was recently accepted into).
Next summer we have a big trip planned to Voyagers National Park in MN, and the majority of the park is waterways. It sounds like the girls have some training to do to get their arms kayak ready for next summer. But, the new open kayak worked great for Ryan and Hazel.
Next time maybe the Mom's will go too!
