This past weekend we took the kids to see Beauty and the Beast at the Paramount in Aurora. Abby has been to see quite a few plays, it was one of Bubby's favorite things to do, but Hazel was too little to remember most of them so this might have been one of the first real plays she will remember. She was a little nervous about how the Beast would look, but we spent last week watching the cartoon and the new live version of the movie so she was prepared. Of course, she fell asleep in my lap 3/4 of the way through, but I can't blame her! She's battling a cold, pink eye, and the theater was WARM and dark - perfect for a nap!
The kids LOVED the show and we all had a great time! Of course, it didn't hurt that we were with some of our favorite people too. Erin, Dan and Uncle Tim and Aunt Lynda all joined us for the show. OH! And we made it home in time to see the Packers game. One more win til the Super Bowl (I shouldn't even write it...I'll jinx it!).
