Panama City - A Florida Family Vacation

There are few feelings better than the first night of vacation and this one was no different!  We arrived in Panama City the day before the rest of the family because the flights were much cheaper to fly on Friday...and we didn't regret that choice for one second!  Our flight left around 11 on Friday morning and we were brewery side by about 2pm.  We spent the evening and the next day exploring Panama City area.  We didn't venture into the crazy of Panama City Beach but we loved the little historic downtown area.

We found a cool taco bar/brewery/margarita restaurant called Weirdos that I'm pretty sure was made for Hazel.  It had the strangest, coolest art from local artist and I loved it so much.  It's made me realize I need to embrace Hazel's "weird" a little more and try to get her doing more non-traditional art.  I think she's made to be an artist and I can't wait to see what she comes up with!

We also found a little art museum that had all kinds of local art displayed and I think it might have been the first time Hazel saw real art displayed for sale.  She saw watercolors tagged for sale at $1,500 and even $5,000 and I think she might have finally realized that making art could be a full time career!  I'm so tempted to go back to Weirdos and buy this Party Pooper art for her.  It's hilarious, cool, and with a $125 it's a reasonable piece to buy.

Tomorrow morning the rest of the family arrives and we'll make our way down to the beach house for the week!
