Last week when it was warm, but just before all the snow all melted, we packed up the kids and did a quick family hike at the forest preserve. We don't do it enough - I vow to get out there more often. It's a 2.5 mile loop and I totally feel more energized and happier after doing it. Plus, look at this sweet family photo awe snagged.
We spent the hike scoping out locations for our family Geocache that we plan to plant later this year. The kids have lots of good ideas but we'll have to see how it look in the spring/summer. I have a feeling some of the locations they picked won't work once all the underbrush comes in.
